Following a successful career in professional football, Russell joined Aberdein Considine as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2017, having gained his Diploma in Financial Planning whilst still playing football.

Based in Aberdeen, Russell has qualifications with The Chartered Insurance Institute and The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He advises in all areas of financial planning, including pensions, retirement planning, individual protection, savings and investments and Inheritance Tax Planning.

Appointed a Director of Aberdein Considine Wealth in 2025, Russell continues to serve clients across Aberdeen and the North East, providing a holistic financial planning service including impartial ‘whole-of-market’ advice, supporting clients at every life stage, through their working life to retirement.

Outside of work, Russell is the founder of The Russell Anderson Foundation, a sports-based charity that supports the lives of children in socially deprived areas of Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland through life-changing programmes.
