The Paraplanner will provide support to the financial adviser, completing analysis and research and preparing recommendations. The Paraplanner assists in providing full holistic financial advice to the client.

Other Key Responsibilities

  • Management of existing clients in accordance with the firm’s business plan and procedure
  • Preparing the fund switch report
  • Assist in completing the client fact find
  • Submit new business with providers
  • Client contact and updates
  • Completing initial information gathering and analysis on existing products
  • Provide research via the Select-a-pension report
  • Provide research on annuity and protection providers
  • Preparing suitability reports to cover all recommendations
  • Ensuring the advice file is to a high compliance standard
  • Reviewing client documents prior to a presentation meeting
  • Gathering illustrations, fund factsheets and Key Features Documents
  • Attend client meetings, where required
  • Cash flow planning
  • Tax calculations
  • Complete the submission sheet for new business, if applicable

Requirements

Relevant qualification, experience, skills and knowledge

We expect an individual performing this role to have the following:

  • Be working towards completion of the Level 4 diploma (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a trainee paraplanner or paraplanner
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to take on and understand the environment we operate in, and the issues this raises
  • General IT skills
  • Ability to compile reports
